Job Description

The Business Development Officer will support the company's sales and business development efforts by identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with international travel partners, and assisting with the day-to-day commercial activities of the Business Development department.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous experience in reservations, travel sales, account management, or business development who is looking to build a long-term career within the Maldives tourism industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach prospective travel agents, tour operators, wholesalers, and business partners.
  • Conduct cold calls, email campaigns, and business development outreach.
  • Follow up on leads and maintain strong relationships with existing partners.
  • Assist with onboarding new travel agents and collecting required documentation.
  • Coordinate with the Reservations and Product teams to respond to partner enquiries.
  • Support partners with destination, product, and booking information.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, lead trackers, and follow-up schedules.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and business development documents.
  • Assist with partner meetings, presentations, and training sessions.
  • Represent Resort Life Travel professionally in all communications.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in Business Development, Sales, Reservations, Account Management, Customer Service, or Travel Operations.
  • Experience within the travel, tourism, hospitality, or airline industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience using reservation systems or GDS platforms such as Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo, or similar is an advantage.
  • Previous experience conducting cold calls, business outreach, or sales prospecting.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
  • A confident and professional communicator.
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Someone who enjoys building relationships and creating new business opportunities.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Passion for the travel and tourism industry.
