Staff Cook - Indian (Male Candidates)

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. As a key support member, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the kitchen. Your role is vital in ensuring a smooth operation, allowing our chefs to focus on delivering world-class dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Sanitation:

· Wash and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
· Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas clean according to health standards.
· Operate and maintain cleaning tools, like dishwashers and sanitation stations.

Organization & Inventory:

· Organize and store clean dishes, glassware, and equipment in designated areas.
· Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries. Monitor cleaning supplies inventory, reporting to management for reordering.
· Track breakage items, ensuring accurate count and reconciliation monthly.

Waste Management & Safety:

· Properly segregate and dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables.
· Follow all safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
· Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or hazards to the Executive Chef immediately.

Culinary Support:

· Support chefs and kitchen staff by maintaining a clean, organized, and stocked workspace.
· Assist with basic food prep tasks.

Communication & Teamwork:

· Communicate with kitchen staff to anticipate needs and ensure smooth service.
· Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive, efficient environment.

Requirements:

· Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred.
· Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods.
· Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding cleanliness and inventory control.
· Must be a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
· knowledge of English and Dhivehi is an advantage.
