About the Role

Safari Island Resort Maldives is seeking an experienced, motivated, and service-driven Front Office & Reservations Manager to lead and oversee all front office and reservations operations. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless guest experiences, efficient room inventory management, and high service standards from pre-arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities

Front Office Operations

  • Oversee daily front office operations including reception, guest services, and transport.
  • Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally and efficiently.
  • Train, supervise, and motivate front office and transport team members.
  • Prepare duty rosters, manage attendance, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Maintain front office and transport policies, procedures, and service standards.

Reservations Management

  • Manage all reservations operations, including room inventory, rates, and availability.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, and revenue teams to optimize occupancy and revenue.
  • Monitor booking channels (OTA, tour operators, direct bookings).
  • Ensure accurate data entry and reporting in the system.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly occupancy and forecast reports.

 

Coordination & Administration

  • Liaise closely with housekeeping, finance, and other departments to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensure proper cash handling, billing accuracy, and documentation.
  • Monitor and control operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with resort policies, safety standards, and Maldives tourism regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in a similar role in a hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Proven experience with PMS / reservations systems (Fusion knowledge is an advantage).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Experience working in a multicultural island resort environment is preferred.
  • Professional appearance and guest-focused attitude.
