Job Description

We are seeking an energetic, guest-focused and confident Excursion Assistant to support the resort’s Sports, Entertainment & Activities operations by promoting, organizing and leading guest excursions, activities and entertainment programs.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SEA Manager, Assistant SEA Manager and SEA Supervisor to ensure smooth coordination of excursions, strong guest engagement and consistently high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and upsell the resort’s excursion and activity programs.
  • Accompany excursions and act as a tour guide for guests.
  • Monitor daily excursion bookings and update the excursion board accordingly.
  • Send daily excursion-related communications to relevant departments, including F&B and Guest Transport.
  • Coordinate with Guest Transport and ensure all excursion arrangements are completed at least 15 minutes prior to departure.
  • Conduct guest welcome briefings and confidently present excursion programs to groups.
  • Act as Master of Ceremony for entertainment programs such as Karaoke Night, Table Tennis Tournaments, Marine Presentations, Maldivian Night and Movie Night.
  • Conduct lobby duty and assist guests with excursion and activity inquiries.
  • Occasionally accompany overbooking cruises for periods of approximately 2–4 days when required.
  • Handle daily excursion billing accurately.
  • Send confirmations to Robinson Crusoe excursion guests.
  • Prepare SEA cover reports and fish orders.
  • Organize guest excursions, activities and entertainment programs.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure operational support is provided on time.
  • Conduct monthly inventory of SEA equipment and supplies.
  • Actively participate in Christmas, New Year and other festive-season programs.
  • Cover Sports Centre shifts when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Hotel School graduate.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in excursions, recreation, guest activities or a similar hospitality role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS is an advantage.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Additional foreign language skills would be an advantage.
  • Experience in swimming and snorkeling is preferred.
  • Ability to participate in sports such as football, volleyball and badminton.
  • Good numerical skills and ability to handle excursion billing and reports accurately.
  • Confident public speaker with strong presentation and event-hosting skills.
  • Strong guest-service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a flexible, non-routine operational environment.

Licences / Certifications

  • CPR certification preferred.
  • Basic First Aid certification preferred.
  • Basic Fire Safety certification preferred.
  • Swimming and snorkeling certification or training preferred.
  • Scuba diving certification or training would be an advantage.
