Bartender

We are seeking a professional and guest-focused Bartender to prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a friendly, courteous and timely manner while maintaining high standards of service, hygiene, stock control and product quality.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Bartender and Bar Management team to ensure smooth daily bar operations and a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the daily bar setup, including requisitioning and stocking beverages, condiments, garnishes and operating supplies.
• Check daily requisitions and ensure all items received are accurate and properly recorded.
• Prepare and serve beverages according to approved recipes, presentation standards and portion-control procedures.
• Maintain full knowledge of current promotions, beverage menus and Food & Beverage products available throughout the resort.
• Recommend and upsell beverages and other F&B items to guests.
• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and take accurate beverage orders.
• Maintain high standards of cocktail preparation, including correct ingredients, measurements, glassware and garnishes.
• Ensure fresh fruit, juices, garnishes and other perishable products are prepared, stored and rotated correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety of the bar at all times.
• Ensure beverages, food items and equipment are properly secured and stored at the end of operations.
• Maintain accountability for bar stock and report any discrepancies, shortages or variances to the Supervisor.
• Conduct daily physical inventory and reconcile stock against sales and operational records.
• Monitor wastage, spillage, breakages and product expiry and follow established waste-control procedures.
• Follow FIFO stock-rotation procedures for all bar items.
• Ensure all void bills and discrepancies are reported to the Supervisor or Outlet Manager.
• Support accurate billing procedures and guest bill documentation.
• Maintain good working knowledge of the POS/Micros system.
• Report equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate department.
• Handle guest requests and complaints professionally and inform the relevant Supervisor or Manager.
• Recognize and familiarize yourself with regular, long-stay and VIP guests.
• Participate in departmental training sessions and continuous product knowledge development.
• Comply with CCR policies, operational procedures and responsible beverage-service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Food Safety & Hygiene

• Follow all Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and sanitation requirements.
• Promote and comply with the resort HACCP program.
• Participate in regular HACCP training and refresher sessions.
• Hold or be able to attain the required Level 1 HACCP Food Safety certification within the required period.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year of previous hotel bartending experience, or relevant hotel school training.
• Basic knowledge of beverage preparation and cocktail mixing.
• Good knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and accurate portion-control procedures.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests and team members.
• Basic numerical skills and ability to maintain accurate stock and requisition records.
• Good working knowledge of POS systems, preferably Micros.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy bar environment and remain standing for extended periods.
• Bartending or cocktail-mixing certification is preferred.
• First Aid Training is preferred.
