Accountant & Operations Manager

Esperanza Maldives is seeking a responsible and experienced Accountant & Operations Manager to oversee the company’s financial records, daily administration and travel business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and account statements
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and daily cash flow
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial reports for management
• Maintain payroll, staff attendance and employee records
• Assist with GST, income tax and other MIRA-related submissions
• Manage customer reservations, bookings and supplier payments
• Coordinate with resorts, guesthouses, transport providers and other suppliers
• Monitor customer enquiries and ensure timely responses
• Maintain booking, payment and operational records
• Supervise daily office activities and support staff
• Assist management with budgeting, pricing and business planning
• Ensure company documents and licences remain properly organized and updated

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• Previous experience in accounting, administration or operations management
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks
• Understanding of Maldives taxation and MIRA requirements
• Good written and spoken English
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
• Honest, responsible and able to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience in the Maldives tourism or travel industry will be an advantage

Employment Type: Full-time
Work Location: Malé, Maldives
Salary: MVR 12,000–18,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience
