We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Assistant Accountant - Accounts Payable to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, maintaining proper financial records, and supporting month-end closing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and staff expense claims.
Ensure all invoices are properly authorized and coded before posting.
Prepare and process weekly/monthly payments (bank transfers, cheques, petty cash, etc.).
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate and organized payable records for audit and reporting purposes.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing by reconciling accounts payable transactions.
Communicate with vendors and internal departments to handle queries and issues.
Support the Finance team with other accounting tasks as required....
