Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations and Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our speedboat fleet. The successful candidate will ensure that all vessels are operated safely, maintained to the highest standards, and available for scheduled services. This role involves supervising maintenance personnel, coordinating repairs, managing operational schedules, and ensuring compliance with company policies and maritime safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the speedboat fleet to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient service.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for all vessels and engines.
  • Coordinate with marine mechanics to ensure repairs are completed on time and to the required standards.
  • Monitor the condition and performance of boats, engines, navigation systems, and onboard equipment.
  • Maintain maintenance records, service schedules, inspection reports, and operational documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local maritime regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of vessels and identify maintenance requirements before failures occur.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate the procurement of maintenance materials and equipment.
  • Supervise and support boat captains, mechanics, and maintenance staff.
  • Investigate operational issues, equipment failures, and incidents, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate vessel availability with the operations team to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor fuel usage, maintenance costs, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in developing maintenance budgets and controlling departmental expenses.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is inspected, maintained, and ready for use.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and provide training and guidance to operational staff when required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma, Degree, or technical certification in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in marine operations, fleet maintenance, or a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of speedboat maintenance and marine mechanical systems.
  • Experience with Yamaha and Suzuki 250 HP outboard engines is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and marine safety practices.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance record-keeping systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to operational emergencies when required.

  • Experience managing a commercial speedboat fleet.
  • Knowledge of inventory and spare parts management.
  • Understanding of maritime regulations and safety compliance.
