Boat Crew (Maldivians Only)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Boat Crew member to support the safe and efficient day-to-day operations of our vessels. The role involves maintaining the boat, ensuring passenger safety and comfort, and assisting with navigation and onboard activities.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations

• Assist in operating and maintaining the vessel safely and efficiently
• Ensure the boat is clean, organized, and ready for trips
• Follow assigned boat schedules and assist the captain with daily checklists
• Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are onboard
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs or issues
• Lead and support other crew members

Maintenance & Safety

• Perform routine engine maintenance (filters, oil, spark plugs)
• Inspect safety equipment (life jackets, fire extinguishers, distress signals)
• Monitor fuel levels and coordinate refueling
• Conduct safety drills and ensure emergency preparedness
• Maintain compliance with maritime and environmental regulations

Passenger Support

• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking
• Provide safety instructions and guidance
• Ensure passenger comfort and respond to inquiries professionally
• Support recreational activities such as fishing

Monitoring & Communication

• Monitor weather conditions and navigational hazards
• Maintain radio communication with authorities and other vessels
• Keep accurate maintenance, incident, and inspection records

Monthly Checks

• Inspect hull condition, engine performance, wiring, navigation systems
• Check safety equipment, flooring, roofing, and water systems
• Monitor engine hours and maintenance schedules
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Maldivian national (required)
• Proficient in English
• Proven experience as a boat crew member
• Strong knowledge of maritime safety procedures

Working Hours

• As per boat schedule set by the Operations Department
