Plumber

• Demonstrates a high degree of Velaa’s culture and service standards and reflects the values of Velaa Private Island.
• Install, repair and maintain all plumbing systems including water supply lines, pools, drainage networks, sewage systems and sanitary fixtures across guest villas, restaurants, spa and back-of-house areas.
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, pressure problems and equipment failures.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted and efficient system operation.
• Respond promptly to emergency plumbing situations to minimize downtime and guest inconvenience.
• Follow resort safety standards, maintain work records, and coordinate with the Engineering team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a plumber in a 5-star luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Highly skilled in all types of plumbing systems, including PVC, CPVC, HDPE, and PPR piping, with hands-on experience handling pipe sizes up to 10 inches.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in:
  • STP and RO plants
  • Swimming pools and Jacuzzi systems, including automatic chemical dosing systems
  • Fire sprinkler and fire hydrant systems
  • Heat recovery hot water generation systems
• Proven ability to carry out pump repairs, including electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, and execution of new plumbing installations.
• Hands-on professional with the ability to work flexible hours, respond to emergencies, and provide quick, effective solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with adaptability in a dynamic operational environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken and basic written).
• Team-oriented with a pleasant personality, excellent grooming and strong professional presentation.
