Crew Member

We are seeking a reliable and guest-focused Crew Member to support the safe, clean and efficient operation of the resort’s guest transport vessels.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Captain and Guest Transport team to prepare vessels, assist passengers and maintain onboard equipment while delivering courteous service throughout transfers and excursions.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily duties as instructed by the Captain and Guest Transport Management.
• Maintain vessels in a clean, safe and presentable condition according to resort standards.
• Prepare vessels for scheduled transfers, excursions and other trips.
• Ensure excursion vessels are ready at the jetty at least 15 minutes before departure.
• Assist the Captain with passenger safety briefings and proper use of onboard safety equipment.
• Assist guests when embarking and disembarking from vessels.
• Handle, load and store guest luggage and personal belongings safely.
• Collect and load required supplies and other items from resort stores as instructed.
• Assist with vessel fueling requirements.
• Support guests throughout transfers and excursions and respond to reasonable requests.
• Assist the Captain in checking engines, safety equipment and other operational systems.
• Report equipment faults, damage or operational concerns promptly.
• Assist with basic maintenance and repair work on vessels when required.
• Serve food and beverages to passengers when assigned.
• Maintain records of onboard food and beverage consumption and assist with restocking.
• Maintain vessel inventory records and report any shortages, damage or discrepancies.
• Assist with the operation and care of mechanical and electrical equipment onboard.
• Follow all resort, maritime, safety and Guest Transport procedures.
• Perform general vessel cleaning and other Guest Transport duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum GCE O’ Level or equivalent.
• Previous experience in speedboat or vessel operations.
• Previous hospitality or guest-service experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vessel operations and onboard safety procedures.
• Ability to assist with basic engine, mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Dhivehi, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic numerical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with Captains, crew members, colleagues, contractors and guests.
• Firefighting, CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to complete the required certification.
