Incinerator Operator

We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Incinerator Operator to support the daily waste-management and Engineering operations of the resort while ensuring assigned duties are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with resort and CCR standards.

The successful candidate will report to the Chief Engineer and work closely with the Engineering team and other departments as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned daily operational duties and ensure work is completed safely and within the required timeframe.
• Support the handling, movement and removal of resort waste in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain assigned working areas in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
• Ensure proper shift handover, including communicating any incomplete work, outstanding repairs or operational concerns.
• Promptly report equipment faults, unsafe conditions, health hazards or work beyond the scope of assigned responsibilities.
• Take appropriate precautions to secure unsafe areas or equipment until corrective action can be taken.
• Respond promptly to work orders and operational requests.
• Complete work-order documentation accurately and return records to the Engineering Office as required.
• Maintain accurate daily records and relevant logbooks.
• Record materials and supplies used during the shift.
• Report potential safety hazards to the Supervisor or Engineering Management.
• Follow all Health & Safety requirements when handling equipment, materials and waste.
• Follow fire, evacuation and other resort emergency procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment and assigned work areas in good condition.
• Assist Engineering and other departments with operational requirements when requested.
• Assist with loading and unloading supplies and waste-removal activities.
• Support pre-arrival checks of guest accommodation when assigned.
• Assist with new projects and other Engineering-related work as directed by Management.
• Participate in required operational and safety training.
• Assist with the training of other team members when required.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance standards are maintained, particularly when entering guest areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer or Engineering Management.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school education or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar operational, waste-management or maintenance-support role.
• Basic understanding of workplace Health & Safety procedures.
• Ability to follow safety instructions, warning labels and operational procedures.
• Basic ability to understand and communicate in English.
• Physically fit and able to lift, bend, stoop, push and pull loads and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work safely with equipment and materials.
• First Aid Training is an advantage.
