Public Area Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Public Area Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness, hygiene and presentation of the resort’s public areas, including restrooms and clinic facilities, in accordance with established Housekeeping standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure all assigned public areas remain clean, safe and well presented throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain all assigned public restrooms and clinic areas in clean and immaculate condition.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms according to established resort standards and procedures.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and dust assigned public areas.
• Empty waste bins and ensure disposal areas are kept clean.
• Replenish restroom amenities, face towels and other supplies as required.
• Clean windows, surfaces and fixtures using the correct equipment and cleaning methods.
• Monitor public areas throughout the shift and respond promptly to cleaning requirements.
• Report maintenance defects, damaged equipment or other issues immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Refer guest complaints, requests or operational concerns to the Supervisor or Assistant Housekeeper.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of cleaning tools and supplies.
• Perform other Housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school education or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
• Previous cleaning or Housekeeping experience is an advantage.
• Basic written and spoken English.
• Ability to understand and follow cleaning procedures and safety instructions.
• Basic knowledge of the correct use and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work standing for extended periods.
• Physically fit and able to carry out repetitive cleaning duties.
• First Aid Training is preferred.
