Reports To: Supervisor / Housekeeper

About the Role

Safari Island Resort is seeking a skilled and experienced Tailor to join our housekeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, altering, and repairing uniforms, linen, and other fabric items to ensure they meet the resort's quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Alter, repair, and sew employee uniforms, guest garments (where applicable), and resort linen.
• Perform routine inspections of uniforms and fabrics to identify repair needs.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and garment quality.
• Ensure sewing equipment and tools are kept clean, safe, and in good working condition.
• Manage tailoring materials and maintain adequate stock levels.
• Coordinate with the Housekeeping Department regarding uniform requirements and alterations.
• Complete tailoring requests within the required timeframe.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor / Housekeeper.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Tailor in a hotel, resort, or similar environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of garment alterations, repairs, and sewing techniques.
• Ability to operate industrial sewing machines and tailoring equipment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Basic communication skills in English.
• Positive attitude, professional appearance, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Age: Below 40 years (preferred).
