Assistant Purchasing Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Assistant Purchasing Manager to lead and strengthen our centralised procurement function across multiple companies. This role plays a key part in driving cost efficiency, supplier consolidation, compliance, and strategic sourcing while ensuring uninterrupted supply of goods and services. The successful candidate will define procurement strategies, establish governance, and work closely with senior leadership to support operational and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and oversee all purchasing and procurement activities across the group.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives.
  • Review, approve, and negotiate major purchases, supplier agreements, and long-term contracts.
  • Oversee import operations, ensuring full compliance with customs, regulatory, and trade requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with division heads, finance, logistics, and sales teams to align procurement with operational needs.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs, cost-saving initiatives, and supplier performance to drive efficiency and value.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Proven experience managing centralized or multi-company purchasing functions.
  • Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Experience using Odoo or similar procurement/ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
