Job Purpose

To manage, maintain, and troubleshoot marine engineering systems onboard vessels, ensuring safe and efficient operations while addressing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems onboard.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot marine engine and system issues.
• Perform engine overhauls, installations, and repairs of pumps and other marine equipment.
• Resolve complex technical problems onboard efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic marine systems.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of marine equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Physically fit and able to work long shifts, including overnight.
• Valid license to practice as a Marine Engineer.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging conditions.
