Pool Supervisor

• Follow the Velaa service standards, service sequence, standard operational procedures, policies and most of all reflect the values of Velaa Private Island.
• Ensure all swimming pools are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and aesthetics in accordance with resort guidelines.
• Monitor and adjust pool water chemistry (e.g., chlorine, pH levels) as required and maintain accurate daily records of pool parameters.
• Regularly inspect pool equipment, including pumps, filters, valves and chemical dosing systems, and promptly report any issues, leaks, or abnormalities to the plumbing team.
• Maintain villa Jacuzzis to ensure optimal hygiene, safety, and functionality.
• Supervise and mentor pool attendants to ensure thorough cleaning, safety compliance, and the delivery of an exceptional guest experience.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all pools and related infrastructure.
• Track the usage of pool chemicals and tools; coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of necessary supplies.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, or complaints related to pool services, ensuring issues are resolved courteously and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a 5-star luxury resort.
• Strong proficiency in spoken and written English to effectively communicate with guests and team members.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities with a proven ability to train and guide a team.
• Practical knowledge of plumbing and masonry as it relates to pool maintenance and infrastructure.
• Comprehensive understanding of pool chemicals and safety procedures for handling and storage.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a collaborative and guest-focused approach.
• Ability to adapt quickly, manage shifting priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude, willing to support colleagues and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
