Generator Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Speedboat Generator Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair generators and electrical systems on speedboats. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with marine generators and be capable of working independently or as part of a marine maintenance crew.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and service marine generators 

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components and systems including wiring, batteries, alternators, and control panels

• Install new generator units and ensure compliance with manufacturer and safety standards

• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and service records

• Ensure all work complies with marine regulations and safety protocols

• Collaborate with boat owners, operators, and other technicians for efficient service delivery

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Marine or Generator Technician (marine experience highly preferred)

• Strong understanding of marine electrical systems and generator operation

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams

• Hands-on experience with tools and diagnostic equipment

• Good physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces onboard vessels

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Marine Electrical Systems or similar

• Basic knowledge of marine engine systems and fuel systems
