Position Overview:
The HSE Consultant is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs. The role ensures compliance with local and international HSE standards while minimizing risks and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with national and international HSE laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace dangers.
- Develop and implement safety programs, emergency response plans, and accident prevention measures.
- Oversee workplace safety training and awareness programs.
- Organize HSE training programs for employees at all levels.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety drills.
- Ensure employees are well-informed on workplace hazards and best practices.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain records of incidents and ensure lessons learned are integrated into safety policies.
- Develop environmental management strategies to minimize the company’s carbon footprint.
- Ensure proper waste disposal, pollution control, and resource management.
- Monitor environmental impact and ensure sustainability initiatives are in place.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify non-compliance.
- Provide guidance on workplace ergonomics, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage, and safety procedures.
- Recommend improvements for workplace safety and environmental sustainability.
- Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations on HSE matters.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management regarding HSE performance and compliance status.
Job Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 are preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in industrial, construction, or corporate environments.
- Experience conducting HSE audits, risk assessments, and investigations.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and training skills.
- Ability to develop policies, reports, and safety programs.
- Proficiency in HSE software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Contract Type:
- Consultancy Contract (Fixed-Term, 2 years)
Work Location:
- Site-based and/or remote support, depending on project requirements.
Deliverables & Expectations:
- Conduct HSE assessments and provide recommendations within agreed timelines.
- Develop and implement an HSE framework tailored to organizational needs.
- Train employees and conduct safety workshops as per project scope.
- Submit periodic progress reports to senior management.
