Key Responsibilities:
Coffee Preparation & Quality Control:
• Prepare and serve exceptional espresso-based drinks, pour-over coffee, and other specialty beverages following strict brewing standards.
• Dial in espresso and calibrate grinders daily to ensure consistent taste and extraction.
• Maintain knowledge of coffee origins, processing methods, and flavor profiles to educate customers and staff.
• Experiment with different brewing techniques to enhance the coffee program.
Mixology & Beverage Innovation:
• Develop and craft specialty drinks, and signature beverages.
• Experiment with flavor pairings, infusions, and specialty ingredients to create unique drink offerings.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bar team to design seasonal beverage menus that complement food offerings.
• Stay updated on mixology trends, specialty coffee drinks, and alternative brewing techniques.
Customer Experience & Service:
• Provide a welcoming and engaging experience for customers, explaining menu items and offering personalized recommendations.
• Ensure consistency in beverage preparation and presentation to enhance the guest experience.
• Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve any issues related to drink quality or service.
Training & Mentorship:
• Train and mentor junior baristas and bartenders in coffee preparation, brewing methods, and mixology techniques.
• Conduct in-house training sessions on latte art, espresso extraction, coffee-based drinks, and drink presentation.
• Lead by example in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and hospitality.
Operations & Inventory Management:
• Maintain and clean coffee and bar equipment, ensuring proper upkeep and troubleshooting any issues.
• Assist in inventory management, ordering specialty coffee beans, ingredients, and bar supplies.
• Follow health and safety guidelines, ensuring proper food and drink handling standards.
