Construction Site Managers Job description
Site manager is responsible for ensuring that a construction project is developed and completed on time and within budget. Site managers work on construction sites and work often begins just before construction.
The CSM oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion managing project timelines, resources and budgets to achieve set objectives. Hi monitor the progress, tracking milestones and addressing issues or delays proactively being responsible for looking after the teams on a construction site, as well as leasing with the professionals involved and the client.
CSM main task and duty are:
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables.
• checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly.
• Interpret and explain contracts and technical information from the technical consultants professionals to the GC for execute the works correctly.
• collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists for additional information or detail required by the GC .
• check technical designs and drawings for select subcontractors and schedule and coordinate their activities.
• checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly by the GC.
• managing parts of construction projects.
• setting out sites.
• overseeing construction work.
• undertaking surveys and progress evaluation updating the project program.
• Supervise the contracted staff.
Post execution – post construction:
• Prepare ordinary e extraordinary works program, cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables.
• Oversee the execution of the ordinary e extraordinary works,
• maintains relations with local authorities in relation to the main services of the property
• Assist the client to oversee the property during possible tenant site visit,
• Menage the requests or complain of the tenants in relation to the property before and during the leasePlans and evaluates department policies, processes, priorities, and performance goals.
• Ensures that their department is on track to meet performance goals and makes adjustments based on performance data as needed.
