Job Description

  • Demonstrates a high degree of Velaa’s culture and service standards awareness and acts as a role model to other colleagues.
  • Responds to all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
  • Maintains records of personnel-related data (personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and ensure all employment requirements are met.
  • Liaises with other departments or functions and manages all internal and external colleague transfers.
  • Assist with payroll and benefits related administration.
  • Serves as a point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related matters.
  • Collaborates with management to resolve employee relations issues.
  • Helps enforce resort policies and procedures, promoting a positive work culture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ working in a similar role with experience in Maldives at a 5-star luxury facility will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with local Labour Law and employment regulations with knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
  • Strong ability in using Microsoft 365 (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
  • Good command of the English language, with clear communication skills for effective coordination and reporting.
  • Enjoys working with a multi-cultural team.
  • Ability to handle large amount of data with confidentiality.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively.
  • Strong team player who can collaborate effectively and assist colleagues when required.
