Short Term - Laundry Attendant

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow the standard operational procedures, policies and reflect the values of Velaa Private Island.
• Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items.
• Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures.
• Ensure quality service up to Velaa’s standards with an eye for detail.
• Help maintain the inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to supervisor.
• Maintaining all laundry equipment and reporting any maintenance needs.
• Perform any additional laundry services when necessary.

Qualifications

SKILLS & GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a laundry attendant, preferably in a 5-star Luxury Hotel/Resort.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, under pressure and long hours.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit & must be a fast-paced worker with excellent organizational skills.
• Flexible with duty hours & scope, and a team player.
