Job Description

The Executive Sous Chef will be assisting the Executive Chef for the overall running of the kitchen department. Responsible for all aspects of the kitchen such as menu plans, operations, recipes, financial budgets, portion and inventory control, food quality, and employee supervision. Exhibits culinary talents by performing functions to ensure a consistent, high-quality product is produced and exceeds maximum guest satisfaction.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         At least 3 years’ experience of similar role in a 5-star resort

·         Certification in HACCP and Food Safety

·         Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or diploma from reputable institution

·         Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively delegate the work.

·         Strong leadership with proven successful assignments in culinary field.

·         Creative and Innovative

·         Female candidates who speak Western languages such as German, French, Spanish and Italian would be an advantage.

·         Adaptability to work in a remote island/resort in the Maldives.
